Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her film Piano won her an Oscar. Early on her acclaimed actress started acting on stage in several Broadway or Off Broadway productions. She is a lover of acting ever since when she was in the school. Her first role in a play in fifth grade was as Helen Keller. When she was in the fifth grade due to mumps, she lost her hearing in the left ear. But she didn't allow that to stop her. In college she studied theatre and later moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her goal. Hunter was stuck in an elevator with the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. She landed one in the role of an actress playing the lead character of Swing Shift. For the past 30 years, she has appeared on many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
