Dua Lipa is an English artist and singer was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. The singer-songwriter signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as an actress and then launched her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album peaked at number three at the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one track New Rules which peaked at sixth within the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards for British female solo artist as well as British breakout act in the year 2018. Her album was certified platinum in the world. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha as well as Dukagjin lipa. She is of Bosnian heritage through her mother's grandmother. Her ancestors can also be identified back to Peja, the Kosovo city of Peja. The Lipa's grandparents are historians. Gjin along with Rina are her twins. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who was the lead singer and guitarist of Oda, the Kosovan rock group Oda.
